The first step to fixing a problem is admitting you have a problem.
Over the past few years I have been on a weight roller coaster. Having children and the basic ups and downs in life are mostly to blame.
Yesterday I was shopping and a woman came up to me and said, "I see you are with child... congratulation." *SOB*
I am so freaking NOT "with child".... so that was a bit depressing.
I found myself thinking after she said that... { I wish I were with child, then I could be fat and everyone would just rub my budda belly and smile at me.} I don't want anymore kids, but I want to be pregnant just so I can have an excuse to be fat. That is what we call *SAD*. I don't know where the inclination came that I need to be thin, but for some reason I am just a little obsessed. I did HCG, lost 20 lbs, and now I have gained back 10... I don't wanna look at a cookie or a cupcake and think of it as the enemy!! NO! the scale, the mirror they are the real enemies! I ramble on in hopes that I will find a solution to my problem.
I want to be thin while eating like a fat person... got that? if anyone has any idea how I can accomplish this {bulimia is not an option} please comment NOW!
Maybe I just have freaky fun house mirrors at my house and I am really alot thinner than I look. Probably not. With the holiday season upon me I must stop the good cop bad cop routine and face the facts. I refuse to answer the question, "What did you have for Thanksgiving dinner" with, " half a spear of asparagus and a dime size cube of turkey flavored tofu." so I am just going to have to be fat. I can only sacrifice so much.

So I'm interested in this whole HCG thing...Lots of people are jumpin' on that bandwagon. What's it all about anyway? I mean, it seems to work because every loses tons of weight. Anyway, I know the feeling. I HEART FOOD. It sucks. If you need a workout buddy, I'll totally be it! I love a good walk around the neighborhood or spazzy workout DVD!!! I have a gym membership to the Rezults on Bluff, but rarely use it because I hate going alone.
Being pregnant is definitely a bonus in the weight department. I love being able to eat whatever I want, BUT I am going to have this baby soon and then the real battle begins, trying to get rid of all the baby weight that I so LOVED putting on. I've never really been on a REAL diet so I don't have much advice for you. Although, Paul firmly believes that you don't have to sacrifice eating less, you just have to eat GOOD food and the weight will come off. If it means anything at all to you, I think you look GREAT! I think you shouldn't worry too much!
Lynnetter, I agree with Michelle you do look great. I am with you with the weight struggle. I have done the HCG diet three different times and now I am doing weight watchers. I LOVE IT!!! With all of hte diets together I have lost a total of 72 pounds!!! I highly reccommend weight watchers. I eat whatever want and still lose weight. They teach me the right way to eat. If you are looking for a LIFESTYLE change instead of a DIET you should do it. Its cheaper than the HCG and if you go to the MEETINGS every WEEK you will lose weight. I promise. Good luck with whatever you do. And if you ever need to talk to someone i am here for ya!!
I think you look great too! You are awesome! Being able to eat anything was the best during pregnancy!
First of all, you do not look like your pregnant. Oh my gosh, I wanna find the lady and slap her upside the head. Who say's that someone anyway? Second of all, you look great. You really do. And thirdly, its the media that makes us feel like we have to be super thin. I really believe that and I can empathize with you because I feel FAT all the time. I feel like I will never be at a happy place with my weight. It stinks. I'm sorry!
Hi this is candi I blogstalk all the time and I think you look great. I second weightwatchers though I have lost 50lbs with it and I love it, I cant say enough good things about it !!
Lynnette... I have been there a couple of times too. I have done Nutrisystem Nourish, the food isn't all that great and a little pricey. It has worked for me. All they really do is give you perfectly portioned meals. You just need to eat better, eat less, but more often. It is hard to not want to eat all those yummy things right now. Food is our comforter. When we are bored, stressed, or mad we seem to all turn to food. It is true. I realized this the other day. I have had a few people tell me that I look good from all the weight that I have lost, I have lost some but need like a severe kick in the bum to exercise more, then maybe I could really look better and feel better. I want to be a little skinnier but not a freakin toothpick, that is just to skinny.
I will support you on what ever you need. You are a wonderful sister in law and you really don't look all that bad. I think you look pretty darn good.
How ironic is it that I was looking at your pictures the other day and was thinking about how pretty and thin you look? Our self perception really is interesting. I know it doesn't help the what the scale says but I think you look beautiful.
Oh and I was going to say- Try working in a baby store, struggling to get pregnant and having people ask how far along you are on an almost weekly basis. Hows that for a kick in the teeth? Amazing people even have the galls to ask strangers that unless the person is about to drop a kid right then. Sorry that happened to you.
My sweet niece, the one that I adore more than anything, told me (last time she saw me) that I was going to have a baby! Hahaha! Talk about deflating! My tummy is...or was one of my most flattering features. You can't argue with a 3 year old though. They're honest. I love this post. It says what I feel too. I too wanna eat what I want and still look like a million bucks, darn it! For me that will never happen. But just for the record...You are beautiful!!! In fact my hubby the other night saw a picture of you and said, "is THAT Mitch's wife??" He thinks Mitch married out of his league. (don't worry Mitch some people have said the same thing to Bryce and he just laughs). Ya you're a hottie Lynette!
Okay here is what I think about Fatness. You are not fat I repeat NOT FAT. I think if you are under a certain height and weigh over 200 lbs and are pregnant yes you need to shed a few, but if you look pretty good and you think so then you are fine. If it makes you feel any better I weigh 150 which is how much I weighed when I first got married. I had that misscarriage and then went down to 135 until my hysterectomy. Thyroid problems don't help at all that is for sure. You look fine girl. Hey was that woman Shelly by chance because some people are just crude and rude. I wish I was there to smack her for you. You are my blood sister and I will gladly hit her for you if you know who she is:)lol.
My goal far down the line is to get to around your weight range. Some times stupid people shouldn't be allowed to say things, like the big pregnant question.
I find it easier to focus on getting stronger rather than getting thinner.
I think that weight is and will always be a womans struggle one way or antother. I also want to eat what I want and not have to worry. Why is it so hard? I think that you look amazing and you are absolutely addorable. we are always our worst critic.
