I think you should sit down...

or maybe I should sit down...

I guess I should let the cat right out of the bag and let you all know that one of these:

is going to be in our near future...

To say that this comes as a surprise is the understatement of the century. However, we are embracing this new change of plans, and hopefully someday will be happy with this turn of events.

Now some of you might be saying.... "well Lynnette, You do know what causes these things don't you? If you didn't want a baby, you should have taken some precautions..." To you I would explain that I had an IUD.... in place and working like a champ until very recently... (my baby just turned 5 you know) And how did said IUD become disfuncional??? well the doctor's ideas are pretty far fetched... so far fetched that I think I will share with you just so you can laugh yourselves into just a slight portion of the hysterics that I am now in...

option #1:

The IUD strings got tangled in with a tampon and was unknowingly removed.

Lynnette's take on option #1:

WHAT THE HELL??? is that really possible? why the hell did nobody warn me about that? I remember the insertion of said IUD and I am pretty sure that I would have felt that little SOB coming out!

AAAACHEEEMMM...

Option #2:

It has traveled to some undetermined location within my body.

Lynnette's reaction to option #2:

Like where??? Your little wand just went on quite the journey if you get my point, and there was no sign of it... does that mean it is in my ribcage??? is my left toe going to suddenly sprout an IUD??? What kind of doctor are you anyway? I would like to see your degree... seriously... go get it.

AAACHHEMMM...

So there you have it folks, don't use tampons with an IUD... your doctor will not warn you... and if for some reason you do decide to get an IUD... make sure it doesn't go on a little vacation or you will find yourself KNOCKED UP!!!

So "JELLY BEAN" as we are so lovingly referring to the little parasite is looking about like this nowadays:

any loving advice on how to deal with an unexpected pregnancy will be much appreciated. And if you so much as think about calling me fat I will kick you really really hard.

Brittany is not thrilled... Drayden and Chantel are very thrilled. Lynnette is having a bit of an episode over the whole thing, and Mitch thinks it is exciting and no big deal... (ahh to be a man, wouldn't it be nice?) due date is late December, to early January...

In other news This is my first post from our new laptop... I pretty much miss my mouse...
Have a lovely day!

Wow, Lynnette! Congrats! You make such cute kids! Obviously this baby really wanted to be part of your family! You're a great mom and things will work out.

Congrats...I could tell you some horror stories from my physiology teacher who used to deliver babies. He had a pt who got prego, they went to take out the IUD and couldn't find it, well needless to say after squeaky came out, they found it in his hand :) Thought you'd enjoy that! Love you!

WHOAH! That is a surprise! :) I have to agree 110% with the first comment though; you do have really really REALLY cute kiddos, so having one more in the world wouldn't be a bad thing. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask.

Congrats Lynette!

As an experienced surprise pregnancy recipient, I have had my fair share of venting on the subject! Peyton came along when Ella was 7 months old (in the form of a pregnancy test) I about died. I was on the pill and hadn't even thought about another baby. At first I was angry. It was horrible timing!! We were moving (which is how I found out in the first place..when I packed up the tampons I hadn't used in FOREVER) and had just started our company and I had a 7 month old baby!!! I was upset. Greg was just like mitch, sweet!! a new baby! Ok!! I was not as thrilled. As time went on and the baby grew and started kicking, it seemed a little better. My life was stressful, for a while, but you wont have a 1 year old when your baby is born! :) Your baby will be gorgeous like your other babies and you will fall in love. It just takes time!! This baby needs to be here, think of how special he or she is to be coming at this point in time :) Congrats again and I'm thrilled for you :)

Oh good grief! Congrats!!! When I announced my second "happy surprise" it was an email with an attached photo of my preg. test with the title, "What the Hell"? I love the title of your blog. You seem like such a take life as it is person...so I'm happy this little bean person chose you for his/her mommy!

Congrats! I am sure that it will get easier to swallow as time goes one, but how frustrating to think that you were protected and not be. Just try to enjoy little things, it will all work out!

that would be frustrating/upsetting/annoying/stressful... I hope time will make things better. Good thing babies have an amazing ability to steal your heart.

Lynnette... As everyone else has said it will be great to have another one. Cheya was our super surprise baby. We definitely were not expecting another baby. But those wee ones do have a way of stealing your heart. Congrats! To you and your family.

Let me know if you need anything for the little jelly bean. I still have plenty of stuff to share, but not to much. I will myself be using some of it. No we don't know what this one is either.

Now I have 2 sisters in laws to be pregnant with. Enjoy your time with jelly bean. You will be absolutely fine

I know that it is so unexpected, but you are such a great mom and this little kiddo was meant to be part of your family! It will probably mean some major changes for everyone, but you will handle it beautifully (like you do everything else)! Good luck!

I think if your going to have sex, you should plan on getting pregnant. Thats the outcome of sex. I think you should be very grateful to be pregnant. I know some moms who would kill for another baby. If you really just want to have a small family and no more babies why not just go get your parts cut out then you would not have to complain and whine when you get knocked up, and wonder why it happened. It happened because you were having sex with a man, and his sperm made you pregnant.

Your a religious person see here Psalm 127....enjoy them they will be gone soon.

And doesn't the Temple Ceremony say...that you might have Joy and Rejoicing in your POSTERITY????

Well we all know how I receive babies, they don't come to me when I plan on it! =-}
Take a DEEP breath, you have 7(ish) months to get used to the idea.
And since Mitch is so super excited, tell him he has 4 months to add another room onto the house....
Love ya!!!

Ok, just ask Anna next time you see her how excited I was to hear the news that I was pregnant with Cambelle. She single handedly kept me from jumping off a bridge!!!! YOU WILL BE FINE!!!!!!!! *hugs*

WHAT THE???? I can't believe your IUD didn't work. I didn't even know that could happen? Thats just nuts! I'm sure you're supper overwhellmned right now but you already are a great mom and I know that as it gets closer the excitement will only build. The best thing is your other kids are older and basically self sufficent so they can help out and spoil your new baby. Take it easy and just enjoy life. You'll get to see all those "first" again.

Remember there is always the option to give your little jelly bean to me when it's born. . .
I could entice you with the thoughts of no diapers. . No up all night. .no buying formula. . but still being able to see and play with jelly bean when ever you want. :) Love you Nettie.

OH MY!!! I am laughing hysterically...and only because it's you and NOT me! Surprises like this can only be handled with prayer. I secretly wish this would happen to me. I'd freak out first, and then I'd be over-joyed. Good luck with it all! You can DO this!

Whoa! I've been so busy I haven't been following blogs lately, but what a shocker! That'll teach me to stay away....

CONGRATS! I would be a little freaked out too, but when you get this kiddo you won't know what you ever did without him/her.

Good luck, you look great, and you'll have to let me take some newborn photos for you!
