Who's your Daddy??

I am an eternal procrastinator, so here is my fathers day post... a few weeks late. Is there anything more adorable than a baby girl being absolutely adored by her daddy??? I think not. I am so grateful to have such a teddybear husband. He likes to think he is tough, and I let him get away with it most of the time, but the reality is he is a big softy.
He is so funny, and silly and really keeps everyone in a good mood. He is the best daddy I have ever seen. He loves his kids, and everyone else's kids for that matter. when there are a bunch of adults sitting around chatting, you will find him in the background playing with their kids...

I am so blessed.

I am grateful that I found a husband who I can laugh with, I am grateful my kids got a daddy that loves to play with them, and we are all grateful that there is such a thing as air freshner, because if there is one thing that daddy passed on to his kids....

It was GAS... LOL
hey baby, WHO'S YOUR DADDY??? [waggling eyebrows] ;)

Take a Hike!!

This was such a beautiful hike. It was Bullion Canyon Falls. It is only about 2.5 hours from St. George. It was only about a 2 mile hike, 1 mile up, one back.

The trail is actually an atv trail, but it made for pretty easy walking. As you can see the trees along the roadside are pretty thick until you get to the top and then you see this..............

notice the water at the very bottom of the falls, yeah the white part that looks all crazy and dangerous, then refer to the next picture...........

alot of us hiked down the cliffs all the way to the base of the falls, it was so amazing to see the sheer power of the waterfall. And of course the crazy priesthood guys had to dive right in the 32 degree water, right at the base and let the water beat the crap out of them.... boys, seriously I may never understand.

the water was icey cold and when you stood anywhere near the falls the little stray droplets of water would land on your head and it felt like a marble or something far more solid than water was being dropped from high up. I can't imagine being right at the bottom like those crazy boys, that must have really hurt!!
A beautiful hike that was well worth it. Thank you Brandy for sharing this wonderful adventure with us!!

Girls Camp

WoW!! where to begin... Girls camp was awesome. I had nothing to do with planning or carrying it out. I just got to show up and hang. It was so much fun! Getting to know the girls was probably my favorite part. I feel like I built some great relationships.

This is my best babe, Kylee, we had a blast, she is one of the funniest people I know.

Beehives... You gotta love em... lol!!!

We laid sod as our service project. I was so amazed at how willing the girls were to get in and get dirty. It was so much fun. Of course it rained like crazy and the sod laying turned into a huge mud fight, but we got alot done.

The 5th years... good times... gooood times. they were guarding the food, lol.
We have an amazing group of girls and I am feeling pretty lucky to have the opportunity to help them and get to know them better.
Girls Camp was a blast, but I am glad to be away from the mosquitos, the soggy tents, the screams of beehives at 1:00 a.m. yeah I am glad to be home.

E.R. again???!!!

Too many boys playing on Grandma's trampoline all at once = one little boy with a big bump.

His cousin went to fall backwards on the trampoline and instead fell backwards right into Dray's Forehead... He got a nasty bloody nose, and it took us a little while to even notice the enormous bump on his forehead!! OUCH!

The injury occured around 8:00 p.m. We iced it for a few hours and the swelling seemed to be increasing rather than slowing, or decreasing. I didn't feel good about letting him go to sleep if he had a concusion or something, so we decided to take him in just to be sure. The doctors said that while the bump was definently a good one, it is likely to discepate over the next few days. He said it is a big mass of blood under the surface and it will likely trickle down and give him a few good black eyes in the next day or two. Now I can rest easy because I know he won't be falling asleep and never waking up or some horrible thing like that!! I am a worry wort, but I just love my babies, and I can't protect them from everything, so the things I can protect them from I am going to make sure I do a good job of it!! Poor Drayden. He is the nice gentle one, and yet, he always seems to be the one that is getting hurt.
